Job summary

Bluebird Care Ireland is seeking Registered General Nurses for night shifts in Carlow to join a nurse-led home support team. Roles include delivering pediatric home care in clients’ homes, with full clinical support from a local nurse-led team.

We offer full-time and part-time night shifts, starting bonus, paid training, flexible night duty, and competitive pay with benefits. Training and ongoing professional support are provided.

Qualifications

• Current registration on live register of NMBI.
• Pediatric/home care nursing experience desirable.
• Previous home care experience is an advantage and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality, person-centred nursing care in the child’s home.
• Prioritise client needs and comforts and promote independence.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation.
• Collaborate with family, clinical supervision team and MDT.

Role of Registered General Nurse

To provide safe, quality, person centred care to an child within their home environment. The successful candidate will be part of a Nurse led care team providing clinical care in a home environment.

Responsibilities include...

• Provide excellent evidenced based nursing care and implement all aspects of the care plans based on the needs identified.
• To prioritise the needs and comforts of the client.
• To promote abilities, independence and to safeguard the client's interest at all times.
• Work closely in partnership with family members and clinical supervision team.
• Communicate effectively with client, family, clinical team & MDT reporting on client's clinical needs as required.
• Maintain accurate and professional clinical notes.

• To demonstrate commitment and competence in the care and welfare of customer's needs.
• To promote the recognition of the child as an individual.
• Demonstrate kindness, compassion, dignity, and respect.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current registration on live register of NMBI.
• RCN/RGN Trained.
• Pediatric nurse experience desirable.
• Previous experience in home care is an advantage, full training and support is provided to all candidates.
