Job summary

Bluebird Care Ireland seeks a Registered General Nurse to join our nurse-led Home Support team in Kilkenny. Part-time daytime shifts (4 hours, 8am–12pm) with 3–4 shifts weekly, plus full-time and additional shifts available.

You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care in clients’ homes, supported by a local nurse-led team. Requirements include NMBI registration and RGN training; airway management experience is desirable but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Current registration on live register of NMBI.
• RGN trained and eligible to practice as a Registered General Nurse.
• Airway management experience desirable; full training provided.
• Previous home care experience is an advantage; training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality, person-centred nursing care to clients in their home environment.
• Prioritise client needs and comforts while safeguarding their interests.
• Maintain accurate, professional clinical notes and communicate with family and clinical team.
• Work in partnership with family members and the clinical supervision team.

Role of Registered General Nurse

To provide safe, quality, person centred care to an child within their home environment. The successful candidate will be part of a Nurse led care team providing clinical care in a home environment.

Responsibilities include...

• Provide excellent evidenced based nursing care and implement all aspects of the care plans based on the needs identified.
• To prioritise the needs and comforts of the client.
• To promote abilities, independence and to safeguard the client's interest at all times.
• Work closely in partnership with family members and clinical supervision team.
• Communicate effectively with client, family, clinical team & MDT reporting on client's clinical needs as required.
• Maintain accurate and professional clinical notes.

Qualifications & Experience
