Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Senior Associate Director to lead property access and approvals across major rail, transport, energy, and essential services programmes in Ireland or Northern Ireland. This permanent, full-time role offers senior leadership across a regional portfolio, focusing on delivery quality, client relationships and commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Director-level leadership experience within rail, transport, infrastructure or related discipline.
• Understanding of property access, third-party permissions, community liaison or similar services for major infrastructure delivery.
• Experience leading workstreams on substantial capital programmes with accountability for people, outputs and client commitments.
• Constructive leadership style with ability to delegate ownership.
• Strong commercial awareness including forecasts, fee recovery and account development.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Credibility in the infrastructure market with networking and business development skills.
• Sound judgement to simplify complex matters and provide balanced recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities and operating rhythm for the regional team, allocate work and support development.
• Lead delivery of complex infrastructure assignments from mobilisation to completion.
• Maintain senior-level client relationships and provide practical guidance on property access and approvals.
• Develop regional pipeline through networking, bid support and account development.
• Coach colleagues and promote delegation across the practice.
• Maintain project economics: resource planning, forecasting, invoicing and payments.
• Provide authoritative guidance on land, stakeholder or approval challenges.
