Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Project Director for a leading rail and transportation engineering consultancy. The role is based in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork or Galway, with responsibility for guiding major multi-disciplinary railway infrastructure projects from concept through construction.

You will direct multi-disciplinary teams, lead bids, manage client relationships and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver innovative, high-quality design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in civil engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Significant consultancy experience delivering multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong rail sector understanding from concept to construction.
• Experience managing contracts as an Employer's Representative or NEC Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Direct multi-disciplinary rail and transportation projects.
• Act as Project Manager on major railway infrastructure schemes.
• Oversee contracts and commercial matters for clients.
• Collaborate with Engineering Directors to ensure design delivery.
• Mentor project management and technical staff, including Senior PMs.
• Develop tender proposals, lead bids and grow new client commissions.
