• Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and PM of medium to high-complexity transport schemes.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams, resources, programmes and budgets.
• Lead preliminary and detailed design from inception to handover.
• Coordinate client requirements, RFIs and design changes.
• Ensure designs meet programme, budget, quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical review and mentoring to engineers.
• Manage subconsultants and multidisciplinary inputs.
• Agree project fees and monitor commercial performance.
• Contribute to tender submissions and client relations.
• Develop relationships to support multidisciplinary delivery.

The Opportunity

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate / Associate Director to join its growing Roads and Transportation team in Dublin.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-professional qualification experience in the design and project management of major road and public transport schemes. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering landmark infrastructure projects, including major public transport and active travel programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery and project management of medium to high-complexity transport and infrastructure schemes.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams, resources, programmes and budgets.
• Lead preliminary and detailed design from project inception through to completion and client handover.
• Coordinate client requirements, technical queries, RFIs, design changes and engineering assurance.
• Ensure designs meet programme, budget, quality, health and safety and technical requirements.
• Provide technical review, mentoring and guidance to engineers and design teams.
• Manage specialist subconsultants and multidisciplinary inputs.
• Agree project fees and monitor commercial performance.
• Contribute to tender submissions, business development and client relationship management.
• Develop strong relationships across the wider organisation to support multidisciplinary project delivery.

About You

• Chartered Civil Engineer or Incorporated Engineer.
• Extensive post-professional qualification experience in roads, transport or infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading the delivery of medium to high-complexity projects.
• Strong understanding of TII, NTA and Local Authority procedures and project requirements.
• Knowledge of DMURS, Traffic Signs Manual, National Cycle Manual and TII design standards.
• Experience with transport design, maintenance and supervision.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX or WinDes is desirable.
• Strong project management, communication and client-facing skills.
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Project.
