Job summary

Comfort Homecare is seeking a Home Care Supervisor to support operational coordination and scheduling across Laois. You will lead, support, and develop healthcare staff, ensuring high-quality care and client independence at home. Strong IT skills and organisational ability are essential for success in this role.

The role offers full-time hours, a weekend rotation, enhanced holiday rates, a company fuel card, and ongoing professional development with the Home Care Manager and HR team.

Qualifications

• Relevant health or social care background.
• Full QQI Level 6 Major Award in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Valid full clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Availability for a 5-out-of-7-day weekly schedule.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Strong organisational capabilities and efficient time management.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Home Care Manager.
• Conduct spot checks with Healthcare Assistants in the community.
• Complete client reviews to assess ongoing care quality.
• Coordinate staff shadowing arrangements with the scheduling team.
• Provide emergency cover and rapid response for new care packages.
• Develop weekly work plans with the Home Care Manager.
• Attend weekly team check-ins and meetings.
• Support regional growth initiatives with the Home Care Manager.
• Assist with Healthcare Assistant recruitment.
