Job summary

A Dublin-based family-owned refrigeration and HVAC contractor is expanding its field service team and seeks an experienced Refrigeration Technician. The role covers installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing and fault-finding of commercial refrigeration systems at client sites across sectors.

You will work on projects and service contracts for national and international clients, with opportunities to mentor less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Qualified refrigeration technician with relevant qualification.
• F-Gas 2078/2079 certification.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and service commercial refrigeration systems at client sites.
• Fault-finding and repair of refrigeration equipment across sites.
• Work on projects and service contracts for national and international clients.
• Collaborate with teams and mentor less experienced technicians when needed.

A family-owned Refrigeration and HVAC contractor based in Dublin is expanding its technical field service team and is now seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join the available across both the Service & Maintenance and Installation & Projects departments, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking for a well-established contractor. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of field-based activities, including the installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing, fault-finding and repair of commercial refrigeration systems at client sites. You will work on projects and service contracts for respected national and international clients across sectors including supermarkets, retail, hospitality, education, medical and commercial offices.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified and experienced Refrigeration Technician
• Strong commercial refrigeration background
• Excellent technical and fault-finding ability
• A practical, first-fix approach to problem solving
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Electrical and mechanical competence
• Experience with controls, BMS and electronic systems is advantageous
• Ability to mentor and support less experienced technicians

Requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ / FETAC in Refrigeration or an equivalent qualification
• F-Gas 2078/2079 Certification
• Safe Pass Manual Handling
• Full, valid driving licence
• Previous experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
