Job summary

Akeso Healthsearch Limited, a healthcare recruitment specialist in Ireland, is seeking a commercially driven recruiter to join our growing team. This role combines candidate sourcing, client development and meeting targets, with a hybrid working pattern and a competitive base salary plus commission.

You will manage the candidate journey, develop client relationships and contribute to recruitment targets across permanent, contract and locum opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ideally, at least two years' recruitment experience, including involvement in the full recruitment cycle.
• We also welcome applicants with relevant experience in sales, business development or another target-driven commercial role.
• A proven track record of achieving recruitment, sales or revenue targets.
• Experience developing business relationships and understanding client needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging with candidates and clients over the phone and in person.
• Strong administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to prioritise a busy workload, work independently and respond effectively under pressure.
• A proactive, positive and results-driven approach.
• A genuine interest in delivering a high-quality service and building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Proactively sourcing healthcare professionals through job boards, networking, referrals, social media and our internal database.
• Creating and managing job advertisements with accurate role descriptions and requirements.
• Screening candidates to assess their skills, experience and suitability for available roles.
• Coordinating interviews, preparing candidates and managing timely feedback.
• Managing candidate compliance, pre-employment checks and onboarding in collaboration with our compliance team.
• Taking ownership of the candidate experience, maintaining communication throughout the recruitment process and following placement.
• Identifying and generating new business leads.
• Building lasting client and candidate relationships to support retention and repeat business.
• Working towards agreed weekly and monthly recruitment targets.
• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date candidate and client records.
