ACCPRO in Dublin seeks a Resource Planning Specialist to join its Business Improvement team. You will work with operational leaders to ensure the right people and equipment are available to meet customer demand, service levels and business objectives.

You will develop short- and medium-term workforce and equipment plans, create rosters, analyse capacity and KPI trends, support budgeting, and drive improvements through dashboards and reporting while partnering with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years in workforce/resource planning or similar in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in a relevant quantitative, analytical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate data into recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI experience with data-driven insight.
  • Experience with workforce planning, rosters, reports and scenarios.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short- and medium-term workforce and equipment plans aligned with forecast demand.
  • Create and maintain operational rosters and deployment rules.
  • Support budgeting and resource planning activities for manpower and equipment.
  • Analyse demand, capacity, utilization, productivity and KPI trends.

  • Produce workforce planning dashboards and performance analyses for management.
  • Collaborate with operational managers to implement improved planning processes.

Job description

Our client, a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced, operationally complex environment, is seeking an experienced Resource Planning Specialist to join its Business Improvement function.

In this role you will be working closely with operational leaders and key stakeholders, you will ensure the right people and equipment are available at the right time to meet customer demand, service levels and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain short- and medium-term workforce and equipment resource plans aligned with forecast demand, operational requirements and service levels.
  • Create and maintain operational rosters
  • Support annual manpower and equipment budgeting and resource planning activities.
  • Analyse workforce demand, capacity, utilisation, productivity and other key resource metrics.
  • Monitor roster performance, proactively identify resource risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Develop resource deployment rules aligned with business requirements and customer service level agreements.
  • Evaluate requests for additional or replacement resources against budgets, operational requirements and agreed KPIs.
  • Produce regular and ad hoc workforce planning reports, dashboards and performance analysis for management.
  • Work closely with operational managers and department heads to implement improved resource planning processes and practices.
  • Develop ad hoc manpower and equipment plans to support operational changes, new business, contract changes and other business requirements.
  • Use operational feedback and performance data to continuously improve planning standards and resource effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • 3-6 years' experience in workforce planning, resource planning, scheduling, operational planning, analytics or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative, analytical or business discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex operational data into practical recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with Power BI.
  • Experience using workforce planning, resource management, ERP or similar planning systems.
  • Experience developing forecasts, resource plans, rosters, reports and operational scenarios.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with operational managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
