Job summary

Great National Hotel Ballina is seeking a friendly, professional Part-Time Receptionist to join our Front Office team. Previous hotel reception or customer service experience is preferable, with training provided.

Welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out, handle calls and reservations, maintain bookings and guest records, and process payments. You will support other departments and help deliver excellent guest experiences.

At Great National Hotel Ballina, we are seeking a friendly, professional and organised Part-Time Receptionist to join our Front Office team.

Previous hotel reception or customer service experience is preferable, with training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage check-in and check-out efficiently.
• Handle telephone calls, emails and reservation enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate bookings, guest records and accounts.
• Process payments and follow cash-handling, security and key-control procedures.
• Promote hotel facilities, services and suitable upgrades.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints, referring matters to management when required.
• Liaise with Accommodation and other departments regarding room availability, arrivals and guest requirements.
• Keep reception and back-office areas clean, organised and presentable.
• Respect guest confidentiality and follow hotel policies, health and safety procedures and service standards.
• Report maintenance issues, hazards and incidents promptly.
• Attend relevant training and assist other departments with reasonable duties as directed by management.
