Job summary

Alstom Ireland seeks an engineer to apply expertise to cutting-edge transport systems. You’ll work with design, testing, and operations to ensure efficiency and reliability across projects.

The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to optimise performance and support system integration. You will analyse performance data, contribute to system upgrades, and support training while upholding safety and regulatory compliance across operations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience or understanding of system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of railway systems, signalling, or transportation technologies.
  • Familiarity with system lifecycle management and engineering processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Analysing system performance data to identify trends and propose improvements
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation related to TSSSA systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and implement solutions
  • Contributing to the design and development of system upgrades or modifications
  • Supporting the training of internal and external stakeholders on system operations
  • Monitoring spare parts availability and ensuring timely supply to meet operational needs
  • Participating in the root cause analysis of system failures and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
