Job summary

WSP is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to support the MetroLink programme in Ireland. You will assess design and construction activities to embed robust safety processes across the project lifecycle, coordinating with contractors, engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with railway standards.

You will lead discipline engineers, manage safety requirements across design and build phases, and work with civil, signalling, power and other teams to deliver safe, reliable rail

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Experience leading discipline engineers through design, construction and integration.
• Experience managing Design-Build contractors and delivering system specifications.
• Knowledge of safety lifecycle processes and rail safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce System Engineering requirements across the MetroLink team.
• Review system, subsystem, and interface designs to ensure safety requirements are addressed.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams to embed safety into design solutions.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Deliver updates on progress and compliance with regulatory requirements.
