Job summary

AECOM in Dublin is seeking a Planner-Rail projects to join our Dublin office. You will lead detailed scheduling across the project lifecycle, coordinating with PMs, design consultants, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and accurate reporting.

You will develop comprehensive master schedules, manage critical paths, and support EVM across a multi-disciplinary program. The role offers hybrid work with opportunities to shape large infrastructure programmes in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Coordinate, integrate, and manage multiple sources of schedule inputs and performance data into a consolidated master schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules and Gantt charts from first principles using Primavera P6.
• Identify and define all project activities, milestones, and deliverables across the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to set realistic activity durations and resource assumptions.
• Develop and manage logic ties, dependencies, leads, lags, and float for accurate critical paths.
• Integrate project schedules into a Master Programme Schedule for CIP portfolio visibility.
• Maintain and update schedules on a monthly reporting cycle.
• Conduct contractor reviews, schedule risk assessments, and critical path analyses.
• Assess changes to determine impacts on programme, budget, and risk.
• Support Earned Value Management implementation across the portfolio.
• Prepare performance reports for PM Team and senior stakeholders.
• Develop cost-loaded schedules to forecast cash flow and financial planning.
• Provide data analysis and summary documentation in the Project Controls team.
• Facilitate scheduling workshops with design consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Interface with pre-construction, design, and construction teams for kickoff and planning.
• Work with SMEs to assess schedule impacts of design/construction changes.
• Collaborate with Cost & Risk Management for spend forecasting and risk mitigation.
• Produce summary-level analyses to inform decision-making by Programme Controls Manager.
