Job summary

AECOM in Dublin is seeking an experienced Enabling Works Project Manager: Rail to lead early-stage works for major infrastructure programmes. You will coordinate site preparation, utility diversions, surveys and pre-construction activities, ensuring safe, on-time delivery that aligns with broader project objectives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering enabling works across infrastructure programmes.
• Expertise in coordinating design, planning, procurement and construction interfaces.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness within a project environment.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with NEC contracts and contract change control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure enabling works packages are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Coordinate with local authorities, heritage/environmental bodies, and utility providers.
• Integrate enabling works into wider programmes while minimising disruption to later phases.
• Monitor progress, risks and mitigation actions; report to stakeholders.
• Oversee safety, environmental protection and community impact in all activities.
• Define scope, budget and schedules; manage changes and track performance.
• Prepare progress reports and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
• Conduct site inspections and enforce quality controls; administer contracts.
