Job summary

Deutsche Bahn is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead commercial management across Dublin-based infrastructure projects. You will provide commercial advice, manage costs, forecasts, budgets, and change control throughout the project lifecycle.

With a degree in a related field and significant experience in major infrastructure, rail or civil engineering, you will interpret complex contracts, drive negotiations, monitor performance, and support close-out activities while collaborating in

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in commercial management of major infrastructure projects (rail, transportation, utilities, civil).
• Experience managing project costs, forecasting and change control processes.
• Ability to interpret and administer complex contractual arrangements.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
• Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB, ICE) advantageous but not required.
• HSE training or site safety certifications are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management across project delivery and close-out phases.
• Provide commercial advice to project and client teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage cost control, forecasting, budgeting, change management, and commercial reporting.
• Assess compensation events, variations, claims, and contractual entitlements.
• Support procurement and contract administration activities.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations with contractors and suppliers where required.
• Contribute to project governance, reporting, and lessons learned activities.
• Support final account agreement and project close-out processes.
