Job summary

Deutsche Bahn’s DB Engineering & Consulting Ireland invites an experienced infrastructure project leader to drive major rail and civil engineering programs. You will coordinate clients, contractors and project teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across multiple disciplines in a dynamic, international environment.

You will oversee governance, risk and contract administration, uphold safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure, rail, or civil projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Strong risk, commercial, and contract management skills.
• Excellent leadership and organisational abilities.
• Chartered status or professional certification is advantageous.
• Rail systems/infrastructure delivery experience desirable.
• HSE/construction safety training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of infrastructure and construction projects through delivery, completion and close-out.
• Manage project scope, programme, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder interfaces.
• Act as the primary point of coordination between client, contractor, and project teams.
• Oversee project governance, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Manage contract administration activities and support commercial decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulatory obligations.
• Support health, safety, environmental, and quality management processes.
• Manage project risks, issues, and change control processes.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities.
• Capture and communicate lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
