Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) is seeking a Racing Support Officer at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium. The role is permanent and full time, 37.5 hours per week, spanning five days including weekends. You will support racing operations, ensure safety standards, and contribute to welfare initiatives.

You will supervise race days and trials, manage track equipment, and engage with owners, trainers and stakeholders to promote events and sponsorships. Strong English and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• At least 6 months in a demanding role with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Word.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines with initiative.
• Ability to learn quickly and work as part of a team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop a detailed understanding of racing operations, including regulations, welfare standards and track operations.
• Supervise racing operations on race days or nights and on daytime/evening trials at locations assigned by your manager.
• Oversee maintenance of track equipment, kennels and racing hardware.
• Assist in planning and promotion of Racing and Classic events.
• Operate the grading system, RMS and electronic trials booking system.
• Ensure competitive grading to maximise Tote and SIS race broadcasting.
• Seek sponsorship for race events and manage sponsorship relationships locally.
• Deal with owners and trainers professionally and courteously.
• Liaise with industry stakeholders and representative bodies.
• Implement Rules and Regulations of Racing.
• Participate in welfare initiatives including rehoming of greyhounds.
• Take entries for racing and trials.
• Promote Stadium products to potential customers.
• Participate in Health, Safety and Welfare Management.
• Comply with RCÉ procedures and statutory requirements.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned by management.
