Job summary

Vertiv Ireland is seeking an experienced R&D / Product Development Engineer to drive innovation in busbar trunking product lines. You will shape designs, develop prototypes, and support launches while aligning with safety standards and customer needs.

Collaborating with Offering Management, Marketing and Sales, you will translate market needs into robust specifications and contribute to continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with education and experience.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling using Creo or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling, 2D drafting and GD&T.
• Proficiency in PLM software and related tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define product specifications and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop designs per Product Standards (IEC61439 & UL857).
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Collaborate with Offering Management, Marketing and Sales teams.
• Build prototypes and support product launches.
• Follow NPDI process and document accordingly.
