Job summary

Vertiv Co in Ireland seeks an Engineering Assistant to support the design of custom busbar assemblies, an Engineered-to-Order product. You will manage BOMs, PLM/ERP workflows, and documentation while coordinating with Project Managers and factory teams to ensure smooth design releases.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and experience with engineering drawings and BOMs. Training on internal systems will follow.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and product BOM.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and ERP/PLM systems.
• Experience creating and sustaining structured BOMs in PLM/ERP.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Engineering and Planning to readiness for production.
• Track MCC and CADMT schedules and flag deviations to meet timelines.
• Support scheduling design reviews and prototype reviews.
• Verify BOM accuracy and store engineering drawings in project folders.
• Ensure wiring diagrams, mechanical BOM, and production drawings are aligned.
• Create and manage new parts in Oracle for product lines.
• Upload BOMs in Oracle and track ECOs in PLM/ERP systems.
• Maintain PLM integrity and document control for the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product standardization.
