Job summary

Alstom in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to optimise project margins, manage commercial risk, and uphold high standards in accordance with Alstom policies. You will support the Commercial Manager and Lead Quantity Surveyor while engaging with clients, subcontractors and project teams.

Key duties include administering payment cycles, managing sub-contract accounts, and providing guidance on cost analysis and commercial topics within NEC3/NEC4 frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in contracting commercial departments is highly desirable.
• Guidance on quantification and elemental cost analysis.
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts including compensation events.
• Knowledge of risk registers and risk management.
• Ability to interpret contract documents and manage scope.

Responsibilities

• Administer client payment cycle up to Final Account and Project Change Account to maximise income and maintain cash flow.
• Proactively manage sub-contract accounts from project start to final account with accurate reporting.
• Interpret project contracts to ensure rights and obligations are understood by the team.
• Maintain contemporaneous records for progress, delays and change control.
• Support Commercial Managers and Project Teams on relevant commercial topics.
