Job summary

Nuvo Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a major healthcare capital programme in Dublin 4. The role supports the Contracts & Claims Team across cost planning, budgeting and change control on a large public-sector project.

Candidates should have Level 8+ QS/related qualification and 5+ years of experience in construction projects, with membership of SCSI/RICS/Engineers Ireland or an equivalent qualification. Temporary agency contract, 35 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Level 8 or higher qualification in QS or related field.
• Full professional membership of SCSI, RICS, Engineers Ireland or RIAI (or equivalent).
• At least 5 years' relevant project management experience on construction/civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Support cost planning, budget management, forecasting and monthly cost reporting.
• Monitor committed costs, final account forecasts and cost-to-complete positions.
• Assist with payment applications and contract administration.
• Provide professional advice on commercial and contractual matters.
• Monitor and manage project scope and change control.
• Review change requests and their financial implications.
• Support the management of Design Team deliverables and contractual obligations.
• Assist with commercial and contractual matters across the programme.
• Identify, assess and monitor project and commercial risks.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Location: Dublin 4
Contract: Temporary Agency Contract
Duration: Minimum 12 months
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Salary: €80,676 per annum

The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major public-sector healthcare capital development programme in Dublin 4. The successful candidate will join the Contracts & Claims Team, supporting the commercial, cost, contract and change management functions throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major healthcare development involving significant construction, infrastructure, commissioning and operational-readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support cost planning, budget management, forecasting and monthly cost reporting.

Candidates must have:

• A Level 8 or higher qualification in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management, accredited by the relevant professional body;

OR

• Full professional membership of SCSI, RICS, Engineers Ireland or RIAI, as applicable;

OR

• An equivalent recognised qualification.

In addition, candidates must have:

• At least 5 years' relevant project management experience on construction/civil engineering projects across the full project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of construction, cost management, contract administration and commercial management.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience working on major capital projects.
• Experience within healthcare, public-sector or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience in cost control, change management and contract administration.
