Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is assisting a high‑quality main contractor in North Dublin to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Managing Surveyor. You will lead commercial control on key Leinster projects and mentor junior surveyors.

Responsibilities include submitting interim payment notices and final claims, ensuring timely valuations and invoices, and negotiating with clients and subcontractors. The ideal candidate holds a Degree/Diploma in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying and has 8–10

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics/Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 8–10 years+ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a main contractor.
• Excellent reporting, analytical and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract obligations and client undertakings.
• Submit interim payment notices and final claims.
• Co-operate with Contracts and Site Managers on progress, variations and valuations.
• Ensure timely valuations and invoices; report on project financial status.
• Negotiate with subcontractors, clients and representatives as required.

As a result of continued growth, they require an experienced Manager/Senior Surveyor for projects across Leinster.

About Your New Job

Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor required to help successfully deliver our projects and form a key part of our Surveying Department.

Some of the key Responsibilities include:

• Understand contract obligations and any other undertakings to the client
• Be responsible for submitting interim Payment Claim Notices and final claims.
• Ensure close co-operation with Contracts and Site Managers as regards assessment of
• progress, identification and evaluation of variations and additions to the original contract work.
• Liaise with Contracts Managers to ensure that claims issued are comprehensive.
• Ensure valuations & invoices are issued promptly.
• Report in detail as required by the Commercial Manager, on the financial status of the project.
• Negotiate, as necessary, with subcontractors, clients and/or their representatives.

What You’ll Need For This Job

• 3rd Level Qualification (Degree/Diploma) in Construction Economics/Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
• 8-10 years + experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, managing junior surveyors, preferably with a Main Contractor.
• Excellent reporting, analytical and computer skills.
