Job summary

Glenman Corporation Ltd is currently recruiting for a full time Quantity Surveyor in the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will report to the Managing QS and support the construction team on all aspects of Quantity Surveying.

Experience in the Construction Industry is essential for this role. Pay is €45,000–€55,000 per year, plus a pension scheme and ongoing professional development. Work location is in person across Ireland.

Qualifications

  • A Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • IT skills – CostX and BuildSoft.
  • Good knowledge of construction.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good financial and numeracy management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

  • Re-measurement of works requirements.
  • Sub-contractor appointment & management to final account.
  • Cost control & value engineering.
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
  • Timely drafting of commercial and contractual correspondence.
  • Valuing and recovery of contract varied & additional works.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports.
  • Negotiation and agreement of main contract final accounts.
  • Lead development and growth of the company.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational, communication and reporting skills.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication.

Glenman Corporation is currently recruiting for a full time Quantity Surveyor as we continue to grow in the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will report to the Managing QS and support the construction team on all aspects of Quantity Surveying. Experience in the Construction Industry is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Re-measurement of works requirements.
  • Sub-contractor appointment & management to final account.
  • Cost control & value engineering.
  • Valuing completed work and arranging for payments to that effect.
  • Timely drafting of commercial and contractual correspondence.
  • Valuing and recovery of contract varied & additional works.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports.
  • Negotiation and agreement of main contract final accounts.
  • A key leader in the development and growth of the company.
  • A team player with good organisational, communication and reporting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ideal candidate will have:
  • A Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying
  • IT Skills – experience in using Cost X and Build Soft
  • Good knowledge of construction
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good financial and numeracy management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
Requirements:
  • A minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience
  • Must have worked on Public Works contracts
