Job summary

ProSource Group in Dublin is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join its growing construction team. You will take responsibility for commercial delivery on major Design & Build projects and work with an experienced commercial and project team.

The successful candidate will prepare tenders, manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts, while maintaining accurate records and protecting contractual entitlements.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (held or pursued).
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the project lifecycle.
• Experience with larger Design & Build contracts would be advantageous.
• Experience working on contracts valued at €15m+ would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tenders, analyse subcontractor returns, and negotiate/subcontract orders.
• Manage the financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors through to final account.
• Prepare valuations, variations, forecasts, and projected final accounts.
• Maintain accurate site records, measurements, and commercial documentation.
• Monitor project costs, targets, risks, and opportunities.
• Work closely with site management to identify and challenge commercial matters.
• Implement commercial strategies and protect contractual entitlements.
• Participate in contract value reviews and maintain accurate commercial reporting.
• Support cash management activities and maintain strong project cash flow.
• Supervise and support Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors as required.
• Support tender processes and wider commercial activities.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience working towards relevant professional accreditation.
• 2+ years' experience within the construction industry.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the project lifecycle.
• Experience with larger Design & Build contracts would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of claims, dispute resolution, and contract law would be beneficial.
• Experience working on contracts valued at €15m+ would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organisational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with site and commercial teams.
