Job summary

Aurivo Co-op is seeking a motivated candidate to join the Feed and Forage Lab as a QA assistant, supporting the Quality Assurance Specialist in compliance with approval bodies and maintaining high feed quality standards.

The role involves sample collection, lab analysis of raw materials and finished products, forage analysis, data extraction and timely reporting across departments. Ideal candidates hold Agricultural Sciences qualification and possess strong PC and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• A recognised or progressing towards an Agricultural Sciences qualification or related discipline.
• Ability to confidently compile reports.
• Good PC skills, spreadsheet and database maintenance skills.
• Strong organisational, time management and planning skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate cross functionally and with all levels of the business.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Good attention to detail.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Aurivo Co-op is a large multi-purpose co-operative engaged in a wide range of activities including dairy processing, liquid milk distribution, animal feed milling, retail stores, e-commerce, garden centres, livestock marketing and sports nutrition. Opportunity The role will be based in the on-site Feed and Forage Lab assisting the Quality Assurance Specialist in ensuring compliance with approval bodies and that the highest feed quality standards are achieved in accordance with relevant standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collection, labelling and appropriate storage of feed samples
• Conduct analysis on a range of samples including raw materials and finished products
• Undertake forage analysis
• Recording and reporting of results in a timely manner
• Extraction and reporting of data

The ideal candidate will have:
