Job summary

Aurivo Co-op's Homeland Store in Ballina is seeking a Sales/Yard Assistant to join a close-knit team. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, handling enquiries, processing transactions, and supporting stock and yard management.

Reporting to the Homeland Branch Manager, you will work in a busy retail and yard environment, develop product knowledge across Agri, DIY, hardware and gardening, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agri/DIY/Hardware or Gardening retail.
• Strong customer-service and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work flexibly and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store and in the yard, ensuring satisfaction.
• Process transactions and manage cash where required.
• Maintain stock control, merchandising and cleanliness.
• Develop knowledge of the Core system and store procedures.

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Homeland Branch Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a close-knit team to ensure an excellent customer experience is provided to all Homeland customers. This opportunity has extensive growth opportunities for the successful candidate who demonstrates a drive & a will to go the extra mile in their daily operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Dealing with customers queries, ensuring customer retention and maintaining customer satisfaction
• Dealing with transactions including cash management
• Inventory management and stock control
• Merchandising
• Developing a working knowledge of the Core system
• Maintain a clean and organised yard storing stock correctly
• Adhoc tasks, duties and projects as required

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous retail / sales experience in Agri, DIY & Hardware, Paint and / or Gardening
• Strong knowledge of the agricultural sector
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• An ability to work on own initiative
• Good computer skills
• Drive and willingness to be flexible
