Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Software Engineer focused on Python and Kubernetes, based in Ireland. You will build open source operations software for automating workloads across clouds and on‑prem environments.

Work across the Linux stack, improve reliability, and collaborate with globally distributed teams. This fully remote role includes occasional in-person sprints and travel, with a strong emphasis on reliability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Proven Python development experience and problem solving.
• Experience with Linux system administration and production ops.
• Experience with at least one public cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain open source operations software using Python on Kubernetes.
• Work across the Linux stack including kernel, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, and applications.
• Improve reliability, automation, and operational efficiency of complex open source systems.
• Build monitoring and alerting infrastructure to support production operations.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to ensure product reliability at scale.
• Follow agile methodologies and contribute to development workflows.
• Share knowledge and coach colleagues to strengthen engineering capabilities.
