Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to fill a Senior Site Reliability Engineer role in Ireland. The position focuses on building and operating scalable cloud infrastructure, with ownership of production Kubernetes clusters across diverse environments.

You will design networking, implement automation, and drive reliability across a globally distributed team. The role emphasizes observability, incident response, and on-call readiness, with a remote-first culture and strong autonomy.

Qualifications

• Expert-level, hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong network engineering expertise including VLANs, L2/L3 routing, VPNs, and multi-site connectivity.
• Advanced Linux systems administration experience with Debian/Ubuntu.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible, Bash and/or Python, Git/GitOps workflows.
• Observability/monitoring experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, or Graylog.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and improve Linux-based infrastructure across Debian/Ubuntu.
• Deploy, manage, and scale production Kubernetes clusters across diverse environments.
• Design and maintain complex networking architectures for reliability and performance.
• Develop automated workflows using Ansible, Bash, Python, Git, and GitOps.
• Build and operate observability platforms to provide actionable alerts.
• Lead incident response and establish reliable on-call practices across time zones.
• Define and implement SLOs/SLIs for infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software and infrastructure quality.
