Job summary

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Purchasing Manager in Dublin. You will lead a centralised procurement function, focusing on indirect spend and delivering commercial value, governance and strong supplier partnerships.

Responsibilities include developing strategies, leading tenders, negotiating agreements and driving governance across procurement processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' procurement experience with indirect spend.
• Experience leading tenders and supplier selection processes.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder communication skills.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements and monitoring performance.

• Produce procurement reporting, spend analysis and performance metrics to support business decisions.
• Manage contract renewals and procurement planning to ensure continuity of supply and value.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and supplier governance.
• Collaborate with Finance and other internal teams to support efficient procurement operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a centralised procurement function, driving best practice across indirect purchasing while delivering commercial value, strong supplier partnerships and effective governance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies across a wide range of indirect spend categories.
• Lead sourcing activities, competitive tenders and supplier selection processes from initial engagement through to contract award.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements and monitoring ongoing performance.
• Introduce and enhance procurement policies, controls and governance frameworks.
• Produce procurement reporting, spend analysis and performance metrics to support business decision-making.
• Manage contract renewals and procurement planning to ensure continuity of supply and value.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, purchase order management and supplier governance.
• Work collaboratively with Finance and other internal teams to support efficient procurement operations.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years' procurement experience with responsibility for sourcing, tendering and supplier management.
• Strong experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
