Job summary

Herbertstown Revival Association is seeking a Bar Manager to lead a newly established pub in Herbertstown, Co Limerick. You will run operations with support from a local community group and report to managing directors, collaborating with committees on marketing, development, and operations.

You will hire and train staff, manage rotas, monitor costs, ensure compliance with licensing and safety standards, and coordinate events to drive revenue.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on supervisory or management experience in a busy Irish pub, bar, or F&B environment.
• Proven ability to lead staff, manage budgets, and uphold service standards.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise bar and floor team members.
• Prepare weekly staff rotas and manage shift cover based on seasonal and peak business flow.
• Conduct performance reviews, offer mentorship, and manage employee relations.
• Monitor stock levels and place regular orders for beverages and bar supplies.
• Build relationships with local and national suppliers.
• Conduct routine stock takes and manage pour costs within budget.
• Ensure compliance with Irish liquor laws and health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Oversee cash-handling procedures and maintain financial performance within budgets.
• Plan and coordinate local events, live music sessions, and promotions.
