Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor for a civil project in Wexford. You will manage the commercial aspects from procurement through to completion, with a focus on contract administration, cost control and stakeholder liaison.

The role requires a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline, with proven experience on medium to large-scale constructions and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on medium to large-scale projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors, negotiations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong understanding of contracts, commercial management and site operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects from procurement to completion.
• Advise on contractual matters and manage obligations at project level.
• Process contractual claims and maintain records.
• Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce costs.
• Assist with cash flow management and forecasting.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports, risk registers and variation trackers.
• Manage subcontractor procurement and negotiate terms with suppliers.
• Prepare subcontract documentation and supplier agreements.
• Measure, price, negotiate and agree variations with clients and subcontractors.

Project Quantity Surveyor – Wexford

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Ireland is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a civil project based in Wexford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join an established contractor working on large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on medium to large-scale construction projects.

• Experience working on large construction sites with significant workforces and subcontractor packages.

• Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial management, and site operations.

• Experience managing subcontractors, supplier negotiations, variations, and final accounts.

• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

Duties

• Managing the commercial aspects of a civil engineering project from procurement through to completion.

• Advising on contractual matters and managing project-level contractual obligations.

• Processing contractual claims and maintaining all associated records.

• Identifying opportunities to maximise revenue, reduce costs, and investigate potential losses.

• Assisting with project cash flow management and financial forecasting.

• Preparing and reviewing monthly cost reports, risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time records.

• Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiating prices and contractual terms with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Preparing subcontract documentation and supplier agreements.

• Measuring, pricing, negotiating, and agreeing variations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Salary

€65k – €75k DOE
