STRIVE Search is assisting a client in Dunboyne, Ireland, to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor for a major residential & commercial development. The role focuses on managing budgets, procurement, and cost reporting to protect profitability.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in construction or civil engineering.
  • Strong cost control, budgeting, and contracts knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting, ensuring expenditure is controlled and aligned with financial targets.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement and administration, including tendering, contract negotiation, valuation of works, and payment processes.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial and commercial reports to support project performance and decision-making.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project profitability.
  • Administer contracts, including managing variations, claims, and agreement of final accounts.
  • Work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure commercial objectives align with project delivery milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal procedures, and relevant regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to estimating or cost planning activities where required (experience with estimating software is beneficial but not essential).

Our client, Ireland’s largest residential & commercial developer, is set to launch a new project in Dunboyne and is looking for a Project QS to join the team.
