Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior HVAC/BMS Project Manager to oversee the profitable execution of large-scale system projects. You will collaborate with owners, contractors, sales teams, and HVAC/BMS teams to deliver on time and within budget, and to implement SOPs and value engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in HVAC, BMS, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial, industrial, HVAC, BMS, or project management environments, with cost estimation, design experience, and strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in implementing operational SOPs.
• Experience in HVAC/BMS project cost reviews and tool standardization.
• Familiar with engineering design and architecture-related tools.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, Chiller or Security systems.
• Hands-on planning, design, or execution of at least three SCADA/PLC/Chiller/Security projects, each > USD 500,000.

Responsibilities

• HVAC / BMS Project Review & Management: pre-bid cost and scope reviews, plan site activities, track materials and schedules, review VO costs, prepare risk reports.
• HVAC / BMS Team Development & Management: lead and develop project execution team members; monitor progress and financial performance.
• SOP Implementation & Continuous Improvement: develop cost review tools, standardize SOPs, provide PD training; travel as required; perform other duties.

Scope of Work

Responsible for the profitable execution of assigned large-scale system projects and/or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) or equipment-related projects. Collaborate with owners, contractors, sales teams, and HVAC/BMS teams as required to provide sales support and project resources. Ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of relevant SOPs, including cost savings initiatives, value engineering, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC / BMS Project Review & Management

• Conduct pre-bid cost and scope reviews and develop supporting tools.
• Plan site construction activities and project schedules.
• Track and coordinate project materials, progress, and deliverables.
• Review costs related to Variation Orders (VOs).
• Prepare project risk reports and implement risk mitigation measures.

HVAC / BMS Team Development & Management

• Lead, manage, and develop project execution team members.
• Assist in monitoring the overall progress and financial performance of all HVAC/BMS projects.

SOP Implementation & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and standardize BMS project cost review tools.
• Optimize, implement, and provide training on Project Delivery (PD) SOPs.
• Travel as required by project needs.
• Perform other duties assigned by the PD Leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial, industrial, HVAC, BMS, or project management environments, with cost estimation, design experience, and strong communication skills.
• Proven experience in implementing operational SOPs.
• Experience in HVAC/BMS project cost reviews and tool standardization.
• Familiar with the development and implementation of engineering design and architecture-related tools.
• Knowledge of at least one of the following areas: SCADA, PLC, Chiller Systems, or Security Systems.
• Hands-on experience in the planning, design, or execution of at least three SCADA, PLC, Chiller, or Security projects, each with a project value exceeding USD $500,000.
