Job summary

DesignBuild Search in Dublin seeks an experienced Project Manager/Design Task Leader to oversee live projects and lead a multi-disciplinary design team. Chartered engineers with a strong track record in delivering infrastructure and building schemes are preferred.

The role requires degree-level engineering qualifications, 7+ years postgraduate experience (5+ in consultancy), and demonstrated leadership with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineers with multi-disciplinary design experience.
• Minimum 7 years of postgraduate experience with at least 5 years in a consultancy environment.
• Chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution.
• Educated to degree level (level 8/9 engineering degree).
• Experience in infrastructure or multi-disciplinary building projects in Ireland/UK—Preliminary Design, Planning, Detailed Design, Tender Assessment, Construction Supervision.
• Experience in design and build schemes.
• Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary design team, plan, and control technical resources to deliver projects on time, to budget and to client satisfaction.
• Ability to mentor juniors to achieve chartered status.

DesignBuild Search are working with a global leading Engineering and construction consultancy in Dublin. Due to a strong portfolio of works including commercial, residential, aviation and infrastructure they have opportunities for experienced project managers. The candidates should ideally be a Chartered Engineers with multi-disciplinary design experience, including successful delivery of schemes from concept to detailed design. The position requires credibility, competence, and technical excellence as it will be a role working closely with industry leading clients, stakeholders and will necessitate the development, approval, and implementation of robust design solutions through collaborative working, trust and proactive management of client demands.

Key responsibilities:
