Job summary

Circet DCS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead data centre deployments across the UK and mainland Europe. You will own projects from design through delivery, coordinate international teams and manage client expectations in a fast-paced, site-based environment.

The role requires regular travel across Europe, strong leadership, and hands-on data centre expertise. CAD/Visio skills and proficiency in MS Office help you keep documentation and schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in data centre environments.
• Strong knowledge of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a structured cabling.
• Experience leading complex projects with international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from receipt of design through planning, execution, handover and delivery.
• Develop Bills of Materials based on client designs.
• Maintain clear project documentation, schedules and trackers.
• Coordinate in-house operations to meet customer expectations, quality standards and timelines.
• Act as the link between customers, site teams and internal departments.
• Communicate priorities, risks and progress to stakeholders.
• Track change notices and orders.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries to site and ensure materials are recorded.
• Review performance and suggest improvements.
• Provide hands-on support when required.

Job description

We are hiring! Circet DCS is seeking an experienced, energetic Project Manager to lead structured cabling projects across the UK and mainland Europe. This is an opportunity to take full ownership of technically complex data centre deployments, work with international teams and customers, and play a key role in upcoming projects across Europe. The role requires regular travel to project locations across Europe. It will suit someone who enjoys an international, site-based environment and can combine strong project leadership with practical data centre expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead projects from receipt of design through planning, execution, handover and delivery.
• Develop accurate Bills of Materials based on client designs and technical requirements.
• Maintain clear, accurate project documentation, schedules and delivery trackers.
• Monitor and coordinate in-house operations to meet customer expectations, quality standards and timelines.
• Act as the key link between customers, site teams and internal departments to support smooth delivery.
• Communicate project priorities, risks, progress and changes clearly to all relevant stakeholders.
• Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries to site and ensure materials are controlled, recorded and accounted for.
• Review operational performance and recommend practical improvements for future projects.
• Provide occasional hands-on support when project circumstances require it.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience working in data centre environments.
• Strong knowledge of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6a structured cabling solutions.
• Experience with OM3, OM4, OM5, OS1 and OS2 fibre cabling solutions.
• Confident project leadership, organisation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and remain effective in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, accountable approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of an international team.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
• CAD experience is desirable.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly across mainland Europe and the UK.
