Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major Dublin construction project for a leading Irish main contractor. You will drive delivery to programme, budget and quality targets on a high‑profile site.

We require 8+ years in construction at PM level, a degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, and a proven track record with main contractors. The role is full‑time, permanent, and based in Dublin with a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience in the construction industry at Project Manager level.
• Experience delivering large-scale construction projects for a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, programme management and project delivery.

With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major development in Dublin.

About Your New Role

As Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, managing the programme, site team, subcontractors, commercial performance, quality and client relationships.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager, Commercial Manager, Site Management team, engineers, design team, subcontractors and client to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project.
• Managing the project programme and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
• Leading and coordinating the project team, site management and engineering teams.
• Managing subcontractors and specialist contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating with the design team, consultants, client and other project stakeholders.
• Monitoring project progress, costs, quality and programme performance.
• Identifying and managing project risks, delays and potential issues.
• Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Overseeing procurement and subcontractor appointments.
• Working closely with the commercial team to manage project costs, variations and contractual matters.
• Chairing and attending project and site meetings.
• Managing client relationships and providing regular project updates.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.

What You Need

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience within the construction industry, with significant experience at Project Manager level.
• Proven experience working for a main contractor.
• Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Experience across commercial, residential, healthcare, education or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, programme management and project delivery.
• Proven experience managing project teams and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financial performance.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety and quality requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
