Job summary

Principle HR is partnering with a government agency to recruit an experienced Project Manager for Biopharma & Life Sciences. This is not a traditional delivery role; you will operate at the intersection of client development, strategy and industry, managing relationships with major US-headquartered organisations with significant operations in Ireland.

The position offers a salary scale of €83,113-€102,076, hybrid working from the Dublin office, and an initial 12-month contract.

Qualifications

• Experience managing senior client or stakeholder relationships.

• Proven project, business development, commercial or investment experience.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with major global Biopharma and Food organisations.
• Identify and progress new investment and expansion opportunities within existing client portfolios.
• Drive transformation opportunities across R&D, digitalisation, sustainability and workforce development.
• Develop a deep understanding of Biopharma industry trends, business dynamics and international policy developments.
• Build compelling investment propositions and present recommendations to senior decision-makers.
• Work closely with US-based colleagues to identify and target new investment opportunities.
• Influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders across industry, government and the wider life sciences ecosystem.
• Represent Ireland internationally at industry meetings, events and strategic engagements.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team while contributing to broader divisional strategy.

Project Manager - Biopharma & Life Sciences

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Biopharma / Life Sciences professional to step into a highly strategic, commercially focused role managing relationships with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and life sciences organisations.

This is not a traditional delivery-focused Project Manager position. You'll work at the intersection of client development, investment, strategy and industry, managing a portfolio of major East Coast US-headquartered organisations with significant operations in Ireland.

Please note, this role is with a Government agency, and so operates on a specific salary scale and entry point.

The role

You'll take ownership of senior client relationships, understand their Irish operations and global investment priorities, and identify opportunities to secure and expand strategically important projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and develop relationships with major global Biopharma and Food organisations

What we're looking for

We're particularly interested in candidates coming from Biopharma, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, MedTech or closely related sectors who can combine strong industry knowledge with commercial and relationship-management capability.

You should bring:

• Strong experience managing complex senior client or stakeholder relationships
• Excellent understanding of the Biopharma / Life Sciences business environment
• Proven project, business development, commercial or investment experience
• Strong negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
• Experience developing strategic propositions or business cases
• Strong leadership capability and the confidence to operate with senior executives
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure
• Relevant Level 8 degree and full driving licence
• Flexibility for domestic and international travel

This would particularly suit someone currently operating in Strategic Account Management, Business Development, Commercial Strategy, Investment, Client Development or Senior Project/Programme Management within the life sciences sector.
