Job summary

Russell Tobin in Dublin seeks an Engineering Project Manager to lead end-to-end project delivery for laboratory instrumentation in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment. You will align safety, scope, schedule, budget, and quality with stage-gate governance while driving value engineering and continuous improvement.

The role requires cross-functional leadership, strong budgeting and risk management, and experience with SAP. PMP/CEng credentials are advantageous for this high-impact position.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Automation, or Process Engineering with significant pharmaceutical engineering/project management experience.
• Proven track record of managing full project lifecycles from concept to closeout.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Familiarity with SAP and budgeting tools; PMP/CEng advantageous.

• Oversee design, engineering compliance, procurement, commissioning, validation, and close-out in line with regulatory standards.
• Manage risks, schedules, stakeholders, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, EHS, QA, Procurement, and operations.
• Provide leadership to project teams, mentor junior project managers, and promote value engineering and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring achievement of safety, scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives while adhering to stage-gate governance processes.
• Develop business cases, define project scope, manage budgets and capital spend, and drive financial performance through effective cost control and resource planning.
• Oversee project design, engineering compliance, procurement, construction, commissioning, validation, and project close-out in line with regulatory and company standards.
• Manage project risks, schedules, stakeholders, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, EHS, QA, Procurement, and operational teams to ensure successful execution.
• Provide leadership to project teams, mentor junior project managers, and promote innovation, value engineering, and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Automation, or Process Engineering with significant pharmaceutical engineering/project management experience.
• Proven track record of managing full project lifecycles from concept, design and implementation through commissioning, qualification, handover, and closeout.
• Strong experience leading cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Demonstrated expertise in project planning, financial management, risk management, scope development, and capital project execution within regulated pharmaceutical environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience with SAP and budgeting tools preferred, with PMP, CEng, and biologics manufacturing experience considered advantageous.
