Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager for Cork, Limerick and the wider Munster region. The role focuses on delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects within Ireland or the UK, including roads, utilities and renewable energy.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, at least 5 years of project delivery experience in Ireland and/or the UK, and a solid understanding of relevant regulations and

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects in Ireland and/or the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish and/or UK construction regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
  • Experience delivering roads, drainage, utilities, renewable energy, residential infrastructure, public realm or earthworks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.
  • Lead site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, plant and materials across multiple workstreams.
  • Drive programme performance and proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure full compliance with Irish or UK health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

CareerWise Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager for projects across Cork, Limerick and the wider Munster region. This opportunity is ideally suited to a Project Manager with a proven track record delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects within Ireland or the UK, including roads, utilities, drainage, renewable energy, residential infrastructure and public realm developments.

Candidates must have a strong understanding of Irish or UK construction standards, health and safety legislation, client management and project delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage civil engineering projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.
  • Lead site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, plant and materials across multiple workstreams.
