Job summary

Parker Stewart on behalf of a long-established Munster contractor is hiring two engineers for site-based roles in Limerick. You will own a defined section of works from setting out to handover, and you’ll be accountable for programme delivery, quality control, and coordination of crews and subcontractors.

This role suits an engineer who has outgrown pure setting-out and wants progression into project management, with clear responsibility and good support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4+ years' site engineering experience on Irish projects.
• Strong setting out with total station and GPS.
• Working knowledge of temporary works.
• Working knowledge of Construction H&S.
• Safe Pass and CSCS.

Responsibilities

• Owning a defined section of works from setting out through to handover.
• Producing short-term programmes, method statements and temporary works.
• Managing quality and compliance — ITPs, records, as-builts, snagging.
• Supervising site engineers and graduates, coordinating crews and subcontractors.

The role

Technical ownership of your own section of works, from setting out to handover. This suits an engineer who has outgrown pure setting-out and wants a clear run at project management.

You’ll be given a section and expected to run it. Plenty of support, but the technical calls are yours to make — and this is a genuine route to PM, not a holding pattern.
