Osborne - Recruitment Consultancy is assisting an engineering business in Ireland to fill a Project Engineer role. You will own projects from scope and design through to installation, commissioning and handover, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing client communications.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical/Process/Energy engineering background, 5+ years delivering industrial CAPEX projects, strong budgets and schedules experience, and a hands-on approach in industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience delivering industrial engineering or CAPEX projects.
• Degree in Mechanical, Process, Energy Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong project management and client-facing experience.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing industrial engineering and CAPEX projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and site teams.
• Managing project budgets, schedules and resources.
• Overseeing installation, commissioning and site delivery.
• Working directly with clients and managing project communication.
• Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues.

Job description

We're working with a growing engineering business that delivers large-scale energy efficiency and industrial improvement projects for major clients across Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects from initial scope and design through to installation, commissioning and handover.

The role will involve a mix of technical engineering, project management, client interaction, and site delivery, with projects focused on improving the efficiency and performance of industrial facilities.

The role will involve:

• Managing industrial engineering and CAPEX projects from concept through to completion
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and site teams
• Managing project budgets, schedules and resources
• Overseeing installation, commissioning and site delivery
• Working directly with clients and managing project communication
• Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues
• Monitoring costs, forecasting spend and ensuring projects remain on track
• Supporting the delivery of energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects
• Degree in Mechanical, Process, Energy Engineering or a related discipline
• 5+ years' experience delivering industrial engineering or CAPEX projects
• Strong project management and client-facing experience
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience managing project budgets and schedules
• Experience with one or more industrial utility/process systems such as steam, boilers, compressed air, pumps, heat recovery, motors/VSDs, piping or process controls
• Experience within manufacturing, pharma, food, beverage, medical devices or another industrial environment would be highly beneficial
• Full driving licence and own transport

This would suit someone currently working as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical Project Engineer, CAPEX Engineer or similar who is looking for greater responsibility and ownership of technically interesting industrial projects.
