GEDON™ | Precision Search for Complex Construction in Dublin seeks a senior delivery leader to oversee a portfolio of large-scale data centre projects. You will lead a senior team across project management, engineering, commercial and construction functions, delivering complex, tightly programmed environments in demanding client frameworks.

The role offers significant influence over delivery strategy, resourcing and risk, with autonomy and a pathway to board-level involvement as the portfolio

Qualifications

• Substantial senior delivery experience with a main contractor, developer or major specialist contractor on large-scale projects.
• Full project or portfolio accountability at Senior Project Manager, Project Director or Operations Manager level.
• Data centre or mission-critical experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Proven leadership capability with mentoring and developing delivery teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contracts, risk and programme management.
• Excellent stakeholder management at client, consultant and executive levels.

Responsibilities

• Hold accountability for delivery of a portfolio of large-scale data centre projects from pre-construction through handover.
• Set delivery strategy, governance and performance standards across all projects.
• Lead and develop senior project teams, including project managers and engineering/commercial leads.
• Own programme, budget and margin performance across the portfolio.
• Serve as senior point of contact for clients, consultants and key supply chain partners.
• Oversee risk management, reporting and escalation to executive leadership and client boards.
• Ensure works meet health, safety, quality and sustainability standards.
• Contribute to bid, tender and pre-construction strategy with the senior leadership group.
• Support succession planning and development of the delivery function.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS

You will hold overall responsibility for the delivery of a portfolio of major data centre developments, leading a senior team spanning project management, engineering, commercial and construction functions. These are large-scale, mission-critical environments — highly technical, tightly programmed and delivered under demanding client frameworks.

The culture is performance-led but collaborative, with senior leaders expected to contribute to wider business strategy rather than operate in isolation. You will have significant influence over delivery strategy, resourcing and risk appetite, along with the authority to shape and build your own team as the portfolio grows.

Based in Dublin with occasional travel to other project locations, the role places you at the centre of both project delivery and long‑term business planning, working closely with the executive team, client representatives and supply chain partners at the most senior level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and develop senior project teams, including project managers, engineering and commercial leads
• Take ownership of programme, budget and margin performance across the portfolio
• Act as the senior point of contact for clients, consultants and key supply chain partners
• Oversee risk management, reporting and escalation to executive leadership and client boards
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with health, safety, quality and sustainability standards
• Contribute to bid, tender and pre-construction strategy as part of the senior leadership group
• Support succession planning and the continued development of the delivery function

WHAT YOU NEED

• Substantial senior delivery experience with a main contractor, developer or major specialist contractor on large-scale projects
• Track record at Senior Project Manager, Project Director or Operations Manager level with full project or portfolio accountability
• Data centre or mission-critical experience is beneficial but not essential — candidates from other complex, high-value sectors are equally welcomed
• Proven leadership capability, with experience building, mentoring and developing delivery teams
• Strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of contract, risk and programme management
• Excellent stakeholder management skills at client, consultant and executive level
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
