Job summary

Open Training College, part of St. Michael’s House, seeks a Programme Director for Social Care Management and Online Programmes.

The role covers day-to-day management, development, and QA across online and on-site programs in disability and health sectors. We require a L7/8 degree in social care (CORU registered or eligible) plus a postgraduate qualification in management and at least five years in a social care management role.

Qualifications

• A L7/L8 degree in social care or a sufficiently relevant area (must be CORU registered or eligible for registration & complete registration within 3 months of appointment)
• A postgraduate qualification in management or a relevant area OR currently studying for a relevant postgraduate qualification (L9/10)
• A minimum of five years’ experience in a management role in a relevant area of social care
• Excellent people management, organisational, teamwork and communication skills
• Excellent online learning development and implementation skills (Articulate and Moodle)
• Competence in information/data analysis, synthesis, summarising, and presentation including report writing
• Must be able to drive and have access to a car for work purposes
• NFQ knowledge and QQI accreditation familiarity
• Experience in QA in an academic setting
• Information management competence

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running and ongoing development of assigned areas in line with QA requirements
• Lead and develop online learning provision for disability/health-related education
• Collaborate with Open Training College and St. Michael’s House to deliver higher/further education programs
• Ensure accreditation and quality assurance standards are met
• Drive staff professional development and programme improvement
