Job summary

Sherpa Kids is hiring a Programme Lead for Ireland to manage on-site after-school and holiday clubs at partner schools. You will oversee daily activities, lead a team, and engage with children and families in a dynamic, caring environment.

The role requires experience with school-aged children, childcare qualification, and strong English skills. Garda vetting and references are required; 1:30pm-6pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in childcare or education.
• Experience working with school-aged children.
• Fetac Level 5 childcare or equivalent.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Garda vetting essential (completed after interview).
• Two written references required before start.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day activities for programmes.
• Manage and support a team of staff and volunteers on-site at schools.
• Engage with children and their families daily, ensuring a safe, fun environment.
• Maintain energy, structure and high standards across activities.
• Ensure activities run smoothly and on schedule.
• Experience with school-aged children is preferred (min 2 years).

Job Description

• Programme Lead must have experience in managing and leading a team
• Own carrequiredfor programme lead
• Maintain the day-to-day activities
• Interacting with the children, theirfamiliesand other staff members each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Experience working with school aged children is preferred (Minimum 2 year)
• Proficiencyin technology and software (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of child development
