Job summary

3 Sixty Resourcing is seeking a Production Technician for a full-time, permanent role in Cloughlea, Ireland. You will assemble complex engineered products, perform testing, document results and ensure high-quality manufacturing processes.

The position requires reading engineering drawings, mechanical assembly, and experience with ERP systems. Monday to Friday with standard daytime hours, a competitive salary, and excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Knowledge of reading engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with ERP systems and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex engineered products and systems in accordance with drawings and quality standards.
• Perform mechanical assembly, fitting, installation and final product configuration.
• Carry out inspections to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
• Perform functional, mechanical and operational testing on completed assemblies and systems.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations of assembly or testing failures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and control system documentation.
• Upload approved software and configuration files to PLC and HMI systems as required.
• Support commissioning activities through verification of electrical and control system functionality.
• Complete production records, test reports, validation documentation and traceability records accurately.
• Ensure all manufacturing activities adhere to company quality requirements.
• Participate in Lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations teams.

The Production Technician will be responsible for the assembly, testing, validation support and documentation of complex engineered products and systems, ensuring all products are manufactured, tested and documented to the highest standards of quality, compliance and efficiency.

What's involved for the Production Technician…

• Assemble complex engineered products and systems in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
• Perform mechanical assembly, fitting, installation, component integration and final product configuration.
• Carry out visual inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
• Perform functional, mechanical and operational testing on completed assemblies and systems.

What you'll need…

• Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
• Experience working with mechanical assemblies, tools, measuring equipment and technical drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Good computer literacy and experience using production or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Electrical and controls experience, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors and instrumentation, would be beneficial.
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience would be advantageous.
