Job summary

3 Sixty Resourcing is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager in Cloughlea, Ireland. This senior role leads overall operational performance, driving safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop production plans, manage schedules, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to align resources with demand and customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing environments, including leadership roles.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar methodologies.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making and KPI tracking.
  • Ability to develop and manage production plans and schedules.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, compliant and timely production.
  • Develop and manage production plans in line with customer requirements, forecasts, capacity and inventory levels.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve performance.

They are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative products within a highly regulated and quality-focused manufacturing environment.

The Manufacturing Operations Manager will take responsibility for the overall operational performance of a key manufacturing operation, leading teams and driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory and operational excellence.

This is a key leadership position, working closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial and Operations teams to ensure production capability, resources and capacity are aligned with customer and business requirements.

What's involved for the Manufacturing Operations Manager…
  • Lead and coordinate manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, compliant and timely production.
  • Take ownership of key operational performance targets across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and Employee Engagement.
  • Develop and manage production plans and schedules in line with customer requirements, business forecasts, capacity and inventory levels.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented where required.
  • Ensure production capacity and resources are aligned with business growth and changing customer demand.
  • Lead and support the transfer of production and the introduction of new products into manufacturing.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure operational readiness for new product launches, including processes, equipment, documentation, training and capacity.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development and career progression within the manufacturing operation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with Commercial, Sales and Customer Service teams to manage customer delivery expectations, production schedules and operational risks.
  • Act as an operational point of contact for key customer projects and requirements.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure material availability and minimise supply chain risk.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and external manufacturing partners where required.
  • Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement activity.
  • Promote a strong quality culture throughout the manufacturing environment.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Operational Excellence initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste and increase manufacturing capability.
What you'll need…
  • Strong experience in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Value Stream Management
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment, including experience in a leadership or management position, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning and operational performance.
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive operational decisions.
  • Ability to build effective relationships across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Commercial and Operations.
  • Comfortable influencing and driving results without always having direct authority.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
