Cpl, in partnership with our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Limerick, is seeking to hire Process Technicians to join their growing team.
Job Purpose
The Process Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining a high-volume automated production line to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products. A small number of technicians will also support calibration activities across the manufacturing area, particularly outside of standard day shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Perform fault-finding, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving yield and product quality.
- Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety standards and contribute to minimizing the impact of all work activities.
- Ensure high housekeeping standards are maintained within the work area.
Additional Responsibilities for Process Technicians Supporting Shift Calibration
- Provide calibration support to manufacturing operations, particularly during nights and weekends when the site calibration team is unavailable.
- Carry out manufacturing-related calibration activities in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Identify and report any non-compliance with calibration procedures or calibration standards.
- Determine instrument calibration requirements, develop and maintain calibration procedures, and ensure availability of calibration standards and supplies.
- Maintain accurate calibration databases, documentation, and equipment history records.
- Support internal and external audits within the area.
- Ensure timely and effective closure of Quality System and Calibration NCRs.
Education & Experience
- Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Moulding, or a related technical discipline.
- 2-5 years' experience working with some or all of the following technologies:
- Pneumatic Systems
- PLCs
- Machine Automation
- Equipment Setup
- Pick-and-Place Machinery
- Training and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Packaging and Printing Equipment
- High-Volume Manufacturing
- Mechanical Setup
- Injection Moulding
- Qualification in an electromechanical discipline or completion of a time-served apprenticeship.
- Experience in instrument calibration and/or physics would be an advantage.
