Cpl, in partnership with our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Limerick, seeks a Process Technician to operate and maintain a high-volume automated production line and support calibration activities across the site. The role includes night/weekend calibration support, with responsibilities covering fault-finding, maintenance, and continuous improvement of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 6/7 qualification in a technical discipline and 2–5 years of experience with

Qualifications

  • Experience operating and maintaining high-volume automated production lines.
  • Experience with calibration activities and NCR closure would be advantageous.
  • Training in one or more packaging/printing equipment or high-volume manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a high-volume automated production line to ensure quality products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on production equipment in a timely manner.
  • Support yield and product quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety standards and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Provide calibration support for nights and weekends when calibration team is unavailable.
  • Maintain calibration databases and equipment history records.

Job description

Cpl, in partnership with our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Limerick, is seeking to hire Process Technicians to join their growing team.

Job Purpose

The Process Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining a high-volume automated production line to ensure the manufacture of high-quality products. A small number of technicians will also support calibration activities across the manufacturing area, particularly outside of standard day shifts.

Key Responsibilities
Main Areas of Responsibility
  • Perform fault-finding, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Support initiatives aimed at improving yield and product quality.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety standards and contribute to minimizing the impact of all work activities.
  • Ensure high housekeeping standards are maintained within the work area.
Additional Responsibilities for Process Technicians Supporting Shift Calibration
  • Provide calibration support to manufacturing operations, particularly during nights and weekends when the site calibration team is unavailable.
  • Carry out manufacturing-related calibration activities in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Identify and report any non-compliance with calibration procedures or calibration standards.
  • Determine instrument calibration requirements, develop and maintain calibration procedures, and ensure availability of calibration standards and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate calibration databases, documentation, and equipment history records.
  • Support internal and external audits within the area.
  • Ensure timely and effective closure of Quality System and Calibration NCRs.
Education & Experience
  • Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Moulding, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2-5 years' experience working with some or all of the following technologies:
  • Pneumatic Systems
  • PLCs
  • Machine Automation
  • Equipment Setup
  • Pick-and-Place Machinery
  • Training and experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Packaging and Printing Equipment
  • High-Volume Manufacturing
  • Mechanical Setup
  • Injection Moulding
  • Qualification in an electromechanical discipline or completion of a time-served apprenticeship.
  • Experience in instrument calibration and/or physics would be an advantage.
