Job summary

Mondelēz International is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a manufacturing shift at the Rathmore site in Ireland. You will coordinate people, plant and process to meet KPIs and drive continuous improvements while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role is a temporary fixed-term opportunity for approximately 18 months. The successful candidate will manage shift performance, support audits, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handovers and next-shift readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing and developing teams in manufacturing.
• Demonstrates GMP compliance, safety leadership and professional conduct.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think on feet and take decisive action.
• Presence to lead during critical production situations.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for people, plant & performance on designated shift.
• Responsible for morale, conduct & behaviour of shift team.
• Ensure hourly, shift targets are met including volume & GE delivery.
• Escalate safety, quality and production losses outside of shift according to escalation matrix.
• Responsible for the safety of team, quality & food safety of products, working with their team and stakeholders to drive fundamental improvements.
• Support internal & external audits while on shift – QP, SMETA, HSE Cross Assessment, ISO50001 etc.
• Act as a Safety leader for the section by active leadership of a safety standard including ensuring work instructions, risk assessments & training are appropriate to the tasks.

The Shift Manager is a key site operational leadership position with overall responsibility for a manufacturing shift within the Mondelez International organisation. It is a role that requires the leadership and motivation of staff at multiple levels to ensure effective delivery of the daily performance through the alignment of resources (people, plant and process) to meet defined KPIs and Operational targets. He/she identifies continuous improvement and loss elimination opportunities and influences the implementation.

How You Will Contribute

• Accountable for people, plant & performance on designated shift
• Responsible for morale, conduct & behaviour of shift team
• Ensure hourly, shift targets are met including volume & GE delivery

• Supporting the other Shift Managers & Plant Lead, completing shift reports & handovers for designated area , setting next shift up for success
• Work with day-based performance teams to drive long term improvements
• Own absence management including scheduling and hearing stage review meetings, ensuring RTW completed
• Workforce planning to ensure adequate cover is provided in each key role
• Develop and implement shift engagement improvement plans, measure through engagement survey
• Support internal & external audits while on shift – QP, SMETA, HSE Cross Assessment, ISO50001 etc
• Act as a Safety leader for the section by active leadership of a safety standard including ensuring work instructions, risk assessments & training are appropriate to the tasks
