Job summary

Mondelēz International is seeking a Shift Manager for our Rathmore site in Ireland. This temporary fixed-term role spans approximately 18 months and focuses on leading a manufacturing shift, aligning people, plant and processes to meet KPIs and production targets.

You will drive continuous improvement, lead safety and quality initiatives, and coordinate with Plant Lead and other shifts. Ideal candidates bring proven manufacturing leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to make

• Provide safety leadership and ensure procedures, risk assessments & training are in place
• Support other Shift Managers & Plant Lead with handovers and shift reports
• Plan workforce capacity and manage absence and scheduling
• Drive continuous improvement and engagement initiatives

It is a role that requires the leadership and motivation of staff at multiple levels to ensure effective delivery of the daily performance through the alignment of resources (people, plant and process) to meet defined KPIs and Operational targets. He/she identifies continuous improvement and loss elimination opportunities and influences the implementation.As the Shift Manager you will suport the Plant Lead and be the Operations leadership representative during your shift. Supported by your motivational leadership and relentless desire for everyday great delivery and execution, you drive a team ethic that at its core is passionate for continual improvement.How you will contributeYou will be:Accountable for people, plant & performance on designated shiftResponsible for morale, conduct & behaviour of shift teamEnsure hourly, shift targets are met including volume & GE deliveryEscalate safety, quality and production losses outside of shift according to escalation matrixResponsible for the safety of team, quality & food safety of products, working with their team and stakeholders to drive fundamental improvements·Supporting the other Shift Managers & Plant Lead, completing shift reports & handovers for designated area, setting next shift up for successWork with day-based performance teams to drive long term improvementsOwn absence management including scheduling and hearing stage review meetings, ensuring RTW completedWorkforce planning to ensure adequate cover is provided in each key roleDevelop and implement shift engagement improvement plans, measure through engagement surveySupport internal & external audits while on shift – QP, SMETA, HSE Cross Assessment, ISO50001 etcAct as a Safety leader for the section by active leadership of a safety standard including ensuring work instructions, risk assessments & training are appropriate to the tasksWhat you will bringA desire to drive your future and accelerate your career.
