Job summary

Vickerstock in Drogheda, Co Louth, is recruiting a Night Shift Production Manager to oversee a fast-paced food manufacturing operation from 11pm to 7.30am. This full-time, permanent role will lead a team of 40–45 staff, drive production targets, and ensure quality, safety and efficiency during the night shift.

The successful candidate will have supervisory experience in food manufacturing, proven leadership skills, and a strong focus on KPIs, quality and health and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising food manufacturing teams.

• Strong knowledge of production KPIs, quality, food safety, and health & safety.
• Experience with KPI-driven continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for night shift production, ensuring operational targets and production schedules are achieved.
• Lead, manage and develop a team of 40-45 employees, driving performance, accountability and engagement.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including efficiency, output, quality and waste.
• Ensure all products meet required quality, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety across all shift activities.
• Manage staffing, attendance, performance issues and resource allocation.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and make timely decisions to minimise downtime and disruption.
• Complete shift reports and ensure effective handovers with other departments.

Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Production Manager on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager or Shift Manager to take ownership of night shift operations, leading a team of approximately 40-45 employees in a fast-paced production environment.
